Platinum Jubilee Party

In order to celebrate the Queen’s 70 years of service, we are having a celebration this Saturday 4th June 2022.
Along with Churchill Gardens Resident’s Association, who are hosting this fantastic party.

Activities

  • Live Music (Simo Lagnawi a Maalem , Gnawa master Musician)
  • Halal Food (in the Community Centre)
  • Kid Activities

Time and Location

The event will take place on Churchill Garden main Square and Community Hall on Saturday 4th June 2022, from 1pm to 5pm.
This event is free so everyone is welcomed.

The Pimlico Million Eid party was a great success.

We had about 300 local people attending from diverse backgrounds. The day was packed with activities for children, young people and families – including face painting, henna, and other stalls.

After the past two years of lockdown, lifting residents’ sprits, as well as promoting health and wellbeing through this fun event was upmost in our minds in holding the event. It was great to see residents coming together and building relationships.

We couldn’t have done it without the commitment and vision of our partnership, and the leadership of our chair and vice-chair. A huge thank you to them and to the local community for joining in!

Our event happened due to the dedication and hard work from our staff, the wonderful volunteers, especially our energetic cadets who were the superstars of the event.

We must also thank:

  • The Metropolitan Police ensuring our safety and joining in
  • The creative and totally inspiring local artists led by Ed Quigley Citizens Art Market

  • The food providers and the band

Eid Mubarak Celebration 2022

To Celebrate the end of the Ramadan with the community, Pimlico Million is organizing Eid al-Fitr Celebration this Saturday 7th of May 2022.

You are welcome to join us this Saturday on the free event. Feel free to bring family and friends with you as everyone else would do so.

  • Art stalls

Eid Cake Competition

We’re looking for five superstar bakers to enter our Eid cake competition on Saturday 7 May 2022.

Whether you’re a professional or self-taught master baker, it’s time to get your creations seen by the community and be in with a chance of winning £50.

How it works

  • Register your interest before 3rd of May by calling Keith on 07554025721
  • You must be a resident in the Pimlico Million area
  • Five bakers will take part – our resident panel will decide
  • We’re contributing £30 towards ingredients for each baker
  • All ingredients need to be sent in before the registration deadline

The prize

The cakes will be judged by local Pimlico residents at our Eid celebration on Saturday 7 May, 2-5pm, at Churchill Gardens.

The winner will receive a prize of £50.
